The Synology RackStation RS422+ 32TB 1U NAS is a centralized storage server for small to medium-sized businesses. It comes pre-installed with 32 TB of storage across four 3.5-inch hard drives. The unit is powered by an AMD Ryzen Embedded R1600 dual-core processor (2.6 GHz) and includes 2 GB of ECC DDR4 memory to detect and correct data errors. The 1U chassis is designed for environments with limited vertical space, and the system supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD configurations for data redundancy or capacity expansion.

Four hot-swappable bays allow for maintenance without powering down the unit. Two RJ-45 Ethernet ports provide speeds up to 1000 Mbit/s for network integration.
