The Cooler Master MasterFrame 500 is designed to house gaming and workstation systems. This chassis accommodates large motherboards, including E-ATX and SSI CEB, as well as microATX, Mini-DTX, and Mini-ITX boards. The frame is constructed from SGCC steel and aluminium, and features a tempered glass side panel for a clear view of the components. The included fans feature RGB lighting. The case supports standard ATX power supplies up to 235 mm in length.

The internal layout includes dedicated cable management paths to keep wiring tidy. Dust filters cover the intake zones. The front I/O panel provides access to one USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and separate audio jacks for headsets. A drive cage is included, which holds one 2.5-inch drive and one 3.5-inch drive.
