The Mac mini with M5 Pro brings genuine pro-level performance to a desktop the size of a hardback book. The M5 Pro chip combines a 15-core CPU with strong multithreaded performance and a 16-core GPU featuring an enhanced shader core, third-generation ray tracing and Neural Accelerators in every GPU core. That makes short work of demanding jobs: app development, video rendering, 3D design, VFX and scientific simulation, alongside AI workflows like photo and video upscaling or running large diffusion models locally. A 16-core Neural Engine and 307 GB/s of memory bandwidth feed 24 GB of unified memory, so complex 3D scenes, ProRes RAW footage and sizeable local datasets stay responsive. The 512 GB SSD uses a next-generation architecture with up to twice the speed of the previous generation.

Thanks to industry-leading performance per watt, all of this runs quietly in a 12.7 by 12.7 cm enclosure, making Mac mini with M5 Pro just as suitable for an always-on desk-side machine running AI agents as it is for a primary workstation. On the front are two USB-C ports and a headphone jack with high-impedance headphone support; on the back, three Thunderbolt 5 ports with up to 120 Gb/s of bandwidth, HDMI and Ethernet. Thunderbolt 5 also lets several Mac mini systems be clustered together to run larger AI models entirely on device. Wired networking is 2.5 Gb Ethernet as standard, wireless is Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and the machine supports up to three 6K displays, with genlock over USB-C for precise synchronisation between a display and a professional camera.
