The ICY BOX IB-1917M-C32A M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, USB Type-C is an external housing for internal M.2 solid-state drives. It connects via USB Type-C and uses the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface, which provides a maximum data transfer rate of 20 Gbit/s. This makes it suitable for portable external storage, backups, and high-speed data transfer. The unit is bus-powered, drawing electricity directly from the host connection without an external adapter. It supports plug-and-play, so the host system recognises it immediately.

The enclosure is made from a combination of aluminium and plastic and has a tool-free design for straightforward drive installation. An integrated thermal pad helps dissipate heat during sustained read and write operations. A hardware write-protection switch prevents accidental modification of stored data.
