The SUNLU ASA KB Filament, 1.75 mm, 1 kg, Klein Blue is an acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA) polymer formulated for fused filament fabrication (FFF) 3D printers. It is designed for functional parts that require rigidity and resistance to outdoor weathering. Integrated ultraviolet protection prevents degradation during prolonged sunlight exposure, and the plastic retains its structural performance and colour in conditions involving rain and general environmental wear. Compared to standard general-purpose filaments, ASA offers elevated thermal properties suitable for vehicle components and outdoor housings. Rigidity and toughness are prioritised to maintain dimensional stability in printed prototypes, tools, and fixtures.
Print parameters require careful thermal management to achieve reliable results with this material. A heated build plate is necessary to prevent warping during the cooling process. The filament has a specific gravity of 1.04 g/cm³, consistent with standard ASA polymer densities. It feeds through standard 1.75 mm extrusion systems and is verified for compatibility with Bambu Lab hardware. Quality control during manufacturing ensures consistent material flow through the hotend. Mechanical testing indicates an elongation at break of 11%, defining the material limits before structural failure under stress.
