SUNLU PLA+, Silk, 1.75 mm, 1000 g 3D Printer Filament, Silver

The SUNLU PLA+ Silk S Filament is a 1.75 mm silver PLA+ material for fused filament fabrication (FFF) and FDM 3D printers. It is formulated to produce prints with a smooth, glossy surface and a metallic sheen, making it suitable for decorative models and display pieces. Compared with standard PLA, the modified formulation offers improved interlayer adhesion and higher toughness. This composition helps reduce cracking during printing and produces more stable, durable finished parts. It is supplied on a spool containing 1,000 g of filament and is compatible with any desktop FDM or FFF machine that supports 1.75 mm filament.

Print settings require a nominal nozzle temperature of 220 °C, although the material tolerates a range from 205 °C to 230 °C. To ensure proper bed adhesion, the build plate should be heated to between 50 °C and 60 °C. The filament maintains a diameter tolerance of ±0.02 mm, which promotes consistent extrusion and reduces the risk of clogs. Thermal properties include a glass transition temperature of 60.9 °C and a melting point of 164 °C. Printing at 50 mm/sec provides a reliable baseline for balanced layer bonding. These parameters make the material straightforward to configure on most standard desktop 3D printers.
