The FIFINE K688W Dynamic USB-C/XLR Cardioid Microphone is a wired dynamic microphone for podcasting, streaming, voiceovers, vocals and music creation. Its cardioid polar pattern prioritises sound arriving from the front while reducing pickup from the sides and rear. This pickup behaviour helps separate a speaker or singer from surrounding room noise during close-range recording. USB-C provides a direct computer or console connection, while XLR supports use with mixers and audio interfaces. A 50 Hz to 16 kHz frequency response is paired with an 80 dB signal-to-noise ratio.

The white metal housing contains a built-in shock mount to reduce vibration and handling noise. No desktop stand is supplied, though the microphone fits a boom arm or stand via its mounting point. USB operation draws power from the connected host, while the XLR connection operates passively with compatible audio equipment. Mute, gain and headphone-volume controls are built in, alongside a 3.5 mm output for direct monitoring. Compatibility covers Windows, Mac, PS4 and PS5 systems, as well as audio mixers and interfaces.
