CARLINKIT AIR X1 Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto Adapter

The Carlinkit AIR X1 Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto Adapter is a wireless module that converts factory-installed wired Apple CarPlay or Android Auto into a cable-free connection. It plugs into the vehicle's existing USB port and bridges the smartphone to the infotainment system. The adapter uses dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi to maintain a stable link between the devices. It draws 1.5 W at 5 V directly from the vehicle. This removes the need to plug in a cable each time the driver gets in.

The housing is made from a combination of ABS and PC plastics, giving it a rigid exterior. The device supports over-the-air firmware updates via a mobile browser to keep the software current. It retains full compatibility with the supported vehicle's original steering-wheel buttons, touchscreens, and control knobs. Smartphone compatibility covers iPhone 6 or later running iOS 10 or newer, as well as Android devices on version 11 or higher. The adapter is intended for factory-wired infotainment systems only and does not replace the original multimedia unit.
