The Carlinkit Tbox Basic (2+16G) Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto Adapter is a plug-and-play device that upgrades a vehicle's existing wired Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to a wireless connection. It plugs into the car's USB port and integrates with the factory infotainment display, touchscreen and steering-wheel controls, without requiring any vehicle modification. It runs Android 11.0 on a Qualcomm QCM2290 quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, which is enough to run supported Android navigation and media apps directly on the factory screen. Connection is handled by dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, so compatible smartphones pair automatically after the initial setup.

The adapter is powered from the vehicle's USB port, so no external power source is needed. It also includes a SIM card slot for cellular data. Compatibility is limited to vehicles equipped from the factory with wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto. On the phone side, it requires an iPhone 6 or newer running iOS 10.0 or later, or an Android device on version 11.0 or above. A one-time pairing process via the USB port is required before wireless use.
