The Audeze LCD-GX Audiophile High-End Gaming Headset – Black is a wired, over-ear gaming headset built around 106 mm planar magnetic drivers. Its open-back acoustic design is intended to present a spacious, natural soundstage for games and detailed audio work. The specified headphone frequency range extends from 10 Hz to 50,000 Hz. Neodymium N50 Fluxor magnets work with ultra-thin Uniforce diaphragms to support controlled bass and detailed reproduction. At 20 Ω, the impedance suits use with a broad range of audio sources. This is an entirely analogue headset, with no Bluetooth, RF or USB audio connection.

Magnesium is used for the black headband construction. The detachable directional boom microphone has noise cancellation to reduce unwanted pickup during voice communication. Its dedicated mute button provides direct call control. The supplied 2.4 m microphone cable terminates in a 3.5 mm TRRS plug for compatible gaming devices. A separate braided cable omits the microphone and uses a 6.35 mm TRS plug for amplifiers, DACs and other audio equipment. Both cable options can be removed when not required.
