The SONOFF SNZB-05P Zigbee Water Leak Sensor monitors indoor areas for leaks, drips and rising water levels. Its raised gold-plated probe and concave sensor detect liquid levels as low as 0.5 mm. When water is detected, it can send smartphone alerts, sound a local alarm or trigger a smart-home routine. Zigbee 3.0 connectivity requires pairing with a compatible hub or gateway; the sensor does not connect directly over Wi-Fi. Suggested locations include under sinks, near water heaters or sump pumps, and in bathrooms, laundry rooms and basements.
The plastic housing has an IP67 rating, and the sensor is designed for indoor use. Surface-mount installation places the sensing point where water may collect. It runs on a replaceable CR2477 lithium battery, with a stated battery life of up to five years. Compatible systems include SONOFF hubs and panels, Home Assistant via ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT, Samsung SmartThings and Aeotec; Apple Home support requires a Matter bridge. An Android or iOS phone can be used for app support, and the sensor includes low-battery indication and a reset button.
