USB Cables
USB (Universal Serial Bus), USB-C, micro-USB, Mini-USB, and Lightning cables are different types of connectors used for various devices.
USB connectors are standard connectors used for connecting peripherals to computers, such as mice, keyboards, printers, and external storage devices. Micro-USB is a smaller version of the USB connector primarily used for smartphones, tablets, and other portable devices. It has a distinctive trapezoidal shape and is not reversible, meaning it has a specific orientation for insertion. Micro-USB connectors are commonly used for charging and data transfer in many older Android smartphones and other devices.
Mini-USB is an older type of USB connector that was commonly used for connecting peripherals and devices like digital cameras, MP3 players, and older smartphones. It has a slightly larger form factor compared to micro-USB but is still smaller than the standard USB connector. Mini-USB connectors are not as prevalent as they used to be, having been largely replaced by micro-USB and USB-C connectors.
Lightning is a proprietary connector developed by Apple and used exclusively in their devices such as iPhones and iPads. It features a compact design with a reversible connector, similar to USB-C. Lightning cables are not compatible with devices from other brands unless using an adapter.
