The Intel Ethernet Converged Network Adapter X540-T2 (dual-port 10GBase-T, PCIe 2.1 x8, RJ45) is designed for enterprise server infrastructure. The card connects via a PCI Express 2.1 x8 slot and uses standard RJ45 copper connections to deliver up to 10,000 Mbit/s per port. The dual-port design allows for redundant links or increased total network throughput. This adapter is for wired Ethernet connections only.
The card features a low-profile, half-height form factor and includes brackets for both low-profile and full-height chassis to fit various rack-mount or tower configurations. It supports distances of up to 55 metres using Category 6 cabling, or up to 100 metres with Category 6A. It is compatible with major Windows and Linux operating systems.
