The ICY BOX (20042) is an internal mobile rack designed for a single 3.5-inch SATA hard drive. It fits into a standard 5.25-inch drive bay, allowing you to install a high-capacity storage disk in your desktop PC. The caddy features a key lock that prevents the tray from being removed without authorization, making it suitable for shared workstations. Because it uses a direct SATA-to-SATA connection, the drive operates at its native speed without extra translation layers. The black finish is designed to match most standard computer chassis.

A 40 mm rear fan provides active cooling, helping to keep the drive at an appropriate temperature during long periods of operation or intensive tasks like large file backups. The unit is plug-and-play, which simplifies setup across different operating systems. A SATA cable is included for connection to the motherboard. This unit is built specifically for 3.5-inch HDDs and does not support NVMe drives or 2.5-inch SSDs.
