The DELTACO HDMI-221 is an HDMI extender designed to transmit audio and video over long distances. It connects media sources to displays by transmitting HDMI signals over Ethernet cables, providing a solution for installations where standard video cables are too short. The signal remains stable at distances of up to 120 metres, supporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 60 Hz.

As an active signal repeater, the device uses standard network cables to establish the data connection. It requires power from a built-in DC jack to maintain signal quality over these extended runs. The black housing fits discreetly into equipment racks or behind wall-mounted displays. This point-to-point setup makes routing media from a source to a distant projector simple, using standard HDMI ports to connect directly to commercial or consumer media players without the need for adapters.
