The Cisco Meraki MS350-48FP-HW is a managed Layer 3 PoE+ switch that provides network connectivity and power for enterprise devices. It features 48 Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports for hardware such as wireless access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones. With a switching capacity of 176 Gbit/s, the device handles high data loads. Four 10G SFP+ slots provide uplinks for connections to core or distribution switches. The unit supports IP routing and static routes to manage traffic across subnets.
The 1U unit is designed for standard rack mounting and allows physical stacking of up to eight switches. Administrators can manage the system via the Meraki cloud interface or a local web-based portal. Features include support for up to 4,095 active VLANs, Quality of Service (QoS) traffic prioritisation, and Access Control Lists (ACLs). The switch consumes 70 W during standard operation, rising to 888 W when connected endpoints fully utilise the Power over Ethernet capability.
Key Features:- Total PoE budget of 740 W, delivering up to 25.5 W per port for compatible equipment.
- MAC address table supporting 96,000 entries for routing in large-scale environments.
- Built-in DHCP server for automatic IP address assignment.
- Port-based network security using 802.1x RADIUS authentication.
- Switching functions including IGMP snooping, link aggregation, and Spanning Tree Protocol for loop prevention.
