The ROLLEI Actioncam 300 Plus is a compact action camera for recording HD video and still photos. It records video at 1280 x 720 pixels at 30 frames per second, as well as a 640 x 480 pixel mode. For still photography, the sensor captures images at 2560 x 1920 pixels. Video files are saved in AVI format, while photos are saved as JPG files. A built-in 2-inch TFT display provides a direct view for framing and reviewing content. The camera is aimed at users involved in outdoor activities, sports, travel, and water sports.

The unit comes with a dedicated underwater housing that allows submersion to depths of 40 metres. This housing, together with the camera's shock-resistant construction, handles physical impacts during active use. Data is stored on MicroSD memory cards with a maximum supported capacity of 32 GB. File transfers and charging are handled through a USB 2.0 port. The camera is compatible with computers running Windows XP through Windows 10, as well as macOS. It has no built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, or NFC, so all data transfers require a physical cable.
