The TP-Link Archer VR400 AC1200 is a dual-band VDSL/ADSL modem router designed for home broadband. It provides internet access via fixed-line DSL connections, rather than cellular networks. The device delivers wireless speeds of up to 867 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. Unlike mobile-ready routers, this model does not include a SIM card slot. It serves as a dual-band gateway to manage multiple wireless connections within the home.

Four Gigabit Ethernet ports on the rear of the device support wired connections, while two external antennas handle signal transmission. Users can configure settings, including parental controls and traffic filtering, via a web-based management interface. A built-in firewall and encryption protocols, such as WPA2-PSK, provide network security. The router also includes a USB port for sharing local resources, and all administration and firmware updates are managed through the browser interface.
