The Ubiquiti NanoStation M2 is a wireless Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) device used for point-to-point or point-to-multipoint 2.4 GHz links. It operates on the Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) standard and provides a maximum wireless throughput of 150 Mbit/s. An integrated directional panel antenna with dual-linear polarization maintains link stability. Using 2x2 MIMO technology, the unit provides reliable performance for building-to-building bridges or surveillance network backhauls, offering directional connectivity where standard omnidirectional signals are insufficient.

Connections are made via two 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet ports. Power is supplied via Power over Ethernet (PoE), eliminating the need for a local power outlet at the installation site. The UV-stabilized plastic enclosure protects the internal hardware for both indoor and outdoor use. Administrators can configure the device through a web-based management interface, and WPA2 encryption is used to secure wireless traffic.
