TP-Link Omada EAP245 - Wireless Access Point, White

The TP-Link Omada EAP245 is an indoor wireless access point designed for ceiling or wall mounting in business environments. This dual-band device operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies and uses the Wi-Fi 5 standard to reach a maximum combined wireless speed of 1750 Mbit/s. Data transfer rates reach 1300 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 450 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. Six internal antennas provide signal coverage of up to 115 square metres. The device uses MU-MIMO technology and beamforming to manage simultaneous connections for up to 100 devices. It is managed centrally via the Omada SDN platform, which allows for remote configuration and monitoring.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports provide wired connectivity and support Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation. If a PoE source is unavailable, an external 12V DC power supply can be used. For network segmentation, the device supports tagged VLANs and guest access, keeping visitor traffic isolated from internal resources. Security protocols include WPA-Enterprise and WPA2-Enterprise for authenticated business access. Bandwidth control and Quality of Service (QoS) features allow administrators to prioritise specific network traffic. The unit has a white plastic housing measuring 180 mm by 180 mm with a height of 47.5 mm. Firmware is upgradeable to maintain performance and security.
