Huawei AR502EG-L - Industrial IoT Gateway

The HUAWEI AR502EG-L Industrial IoT Gateway is an access router designed to connect local machinery to cellular networks. It uses an integrated 4G LTE module for wide area networking, supporting LTE FDD, WCDMA, and HSPA+. To prioritise wired and cellular connections in industrial environments, the device does not include Wi-Fi. Dual Micro-SIM slots enable redundant mobile carrier configurations. Local hardware connects via two Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports at 10/100/1000 Mbit/s. Power is supplied via a direct DC jack; Power over Ethernet is not supported.

Designed for industrial use, the gateway is housed in an IP30-rated enclosure, providing ingress protection for installation in equipment cabinets. A built-in firewall secures the network layer by regulating traffic across routed connections. For legacy equipment, the unit includes RS232, RS485, and RS422 serial interfaces, alongside dedicated digital I/O channels. A single USB 2.0 port is provided for local configuration. The unit features a 700 MHz processor to maintain consistent data throughput for telemetry, automation, and sensor systems.
