The StarTech SATPCIEXADAP SATA to 6-pin PCI Express (PCIe) power adapter draws power from existing SATA connectors in a PC power supply to power a PCIe graphics card. It combines two 15-pin SATA male connectors into a single 6-pin PCIe male output. This adapter is intended for desktop systems that lack a dedicated PCIe power cable. The cable measures 0.15 metres in length, allowing for connections within a computer chassis. The wires are color-coded in black and yellow to assist during installation.

The cable uses 18 AWG wiring to provide a consistent power supply to the GPU. The connector contacts are gold-plated to ensure a reliable connection and prevent oxidation in high-heat environments.
