The StarTech 4-Port USB 2.0 Plate Adapter (USBPLATE4) adds four USB-A ports to a desktop computer using internal motherboard headers. It connects via two 10-pin IDC connectors to provide four rear-facing USB-A ports. Supporting the USB 2.0 standard, it enables data transfer speeds of up to 480 Mbit/s. The 28.6 cm cables provide sufficient length for routing through most standard ATX or micro-ATX cases, allowing you to convert unused internal headers into functional external ports.

These internal cables are designed for permanent installation within a PC. The wiring connects the motherboard to a metal bracket that fits into a standard expansion slot.
