The NH-U12S SE-AM4 is a single-tower air cooling solution optimized specifically for AMD AM4 and AM5 processor platforms. The cooler utilizes a conventional design, featuring four integrated heat pipes connected to a nickel-plated copper base to facilitate effective thermal transfer away from the CPU die. Heat energy is dissipated through an array of aluminium fins, offering a robust cooling capacity suitable for compatible AMD Ryzen CPUs running under continuous high loads. The overall unit height is 158 mm, designed to maximize system compatibility across various mid-tower enclosures while maintaining clearance above RAM modules.

Thermal management is achieved using the included NF-F12 PWM 120 mm fan, which utilizes an SSO2 bearing for sustained operational longevity and reliability. The fan operates across a controlled speed range of 300 to 1500 RPM, producing a maximum airflow of 93.4 m³/h and generating 2.61 mmH₂O of static pressure. Maximum acoustic output is rated at 22.4 dB; this can be reduced to 18.6 dB using the supplied Low-Noise Adaptor. The SecuFirm2 mounting kit ensures secure, consistent contact pressure across the supported sockets, which is crucial for maximizing thermal exchange efficiency.
