The StarTech MPEXUSB3S22B 2-Port Mini PCI Express to USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A adapter card adds connectivity to small form-factor systems. It installs into an internal Mini PCIe slot to provide two external USB Type-A ports. The card is designed for compact environments, such as Mini-ITX cases and embedded PCs. It supports data transfer rates of up to 5 Gbit/s per port, suitable for high-throughput external storage and docking stations. Although it may be listed alongside network adapters, this module is strictly for USB data and does not provide Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or Bluetooth.

A Renesas µPD720202 chipset manages the dual-port configuration. The card is compatible with Windows 7 through 11 and Linux kernel 2.6.3 or later. It also supports Windows Server versions from 2003 to 2022. Measuring 30 mm by 51 mm, the board fits into tight motherboard layouts, and its black finish blends into most chassis interiors.
