The Ubiquiti UniFi UAP-AC-IW is an in-wall access point designed for installation in standard wall junction boxes, providing discreet wireless coverage. It uses dual-band Wi-Fi 5 technology to support 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, offering a combined maximum speed of 1,167 Mbit/s—300 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band and 867 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band. The unit includes MU-MIMO and beamforming to support connections for up to 250 devices within a 25 m² area.

Three Gigabit Ethernet ports provide wired connectivity, while Power over Ethernet (PoE) allows for data and power delivery through a single cable. The device is managed via a web-based interface, which allows for remote monitoring. Supported security protocols include WPA2 and WPA-Enterprise. The polycarbonate housing is designed for durable in-wall mounting, and the unit has a typical power consumption of 7 W during standard operation.
