The ASUS USB-AC53 Nano is an AC1200 dual-band USB Wi-Fi adapter that connects a PC or laptop to wireless networks via a USB 2.0 port. Using the Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) standard, it provides wireless connectivity for everyday internet use and media streaming. It reaches data transfer rates of up to 867 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band, ensuring compatibility with older network hardware. This device is a dedicated wireless adapter and does not include Bluetooth or wired Ethernet capabilities.

The compact design allows the adapter to remain plugged into a laptop during transport without obstructing adjacent ports or snagging on bags. It draws power directly from the host computer, requiring no external supply. The adapter uses MU-MIMO technology to maintain throughput when multiple devices connect to a compatible router simultaneously. It is compatible with Windows 7 through Windows 11, and Mac systems running OS X 10.7 through macOS 10.12.
