The Delock 62866 is an internal storage converter designed to house M.2 SATA SSDs or mSATA modules within a standard 2.5\" drive bay. This enclosure features a 9.5 mm profile height and utilizes a standard 22-pin SATA interface for system integration. It supports M.2 modules in four common lengths, including 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280, alongside both half-size and full-size mSATA modules. The device allows users to integrate compact storage formats into desktop or laptop systems that rely on 2.5\" SATA connections.

This converter operates at SATA 6 Gb/s transfer speeds and is powered directly through the host SATA connection. While the unit contains slots for both M.2 and mSATA drives, it supports only one active module at a time, with the M.2 SSD receiving priority if both are installed. The internal circuitry includes protection mechanisms to mitigate risks from short circuits, overheating, and electrostatic discharge. Installation is driverless, making it compatible with various versions of Windows and Linux Kernel 3.20 or later.
