The Noctua NF-A12x25 5V PWM is a 120 mm fan engineered for applications that use a 5V power source while requiring 4-pin PWM speed regulation. It is optimized for high-impedance environments where airflow is restricted, such as on dense heatsinks and water-cooling radiators. The design focuses on generating effective static pressure and airflow through its Sterrox® liquid-crystal polymer (LCP) impeller. This material allows for an exceptionally small tip clearance of 0.5 mm, enabling the fan to work efficiently against back-pressure.

This model integrates Noctua's second-generation Self-Stabilising Oil-pressure (SSO2) bearing, which contributes to its operational stability and longevity. The 5V PWM variant is specifically intended for custom electronics projects or specialized PC builds that utilize 5V fan headers, differentiating it from standard 12V models. Its aerodynamic construction is designed to maintain a low acoustic profile across its operational range. The package includes a USB power adapter cable and an OmniJoin™ adaptor set to facilitate installation in various 5V-based systems.
