The Cisco 927 Integrated Services Router (C927-4P) is a fixed-configuration edge device for small offices and branch networks. It provides internet access via an integrated VDSL2 and ADSL2+ modem for analog phone lines, as well as a dedicated Gigabit Ethernet WAN interface for fiber or cable connections. Supporting the VDSL2/ADSL2+ over POTS (Annex A) standard ensures compatibility with established broadband infrastructure. The unit combines routing, switching, and security in a single device for sites that rely on DSL or Ethernet service provider lines.

Four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports connect local devices like computers, printers, and access points, supporting speeds of 10, 100, and 1000 Mbit/s. Security features include a firewall with support for access control lists and MAC address filtering. VPN support provides encryption using standards such as 256-bit AES and SSL/TLS. Administrators can manage the device via a web-based interface, and Quality of Service (QoS) settings help prioritize latency-sensitive traffic. The black chassis weighs 1,200 grams and uses a standard AC power supply.
