The QNAP QDA-A2MAR 2.5-inch SATA to dual M.2 2280 SATA SSD adapter converts a standard 2.5-inch SATA drive bay into two M.2 SATA SSD slots. It uses a SATA 6Gb/s interface, allowing the host system to recognise two M.2 modules through a single physical connection. Data management is handled by an internal hardware RAID controller that operates independently of the host CPU. Users can configure the storage for RAID 0 to maximise capacity or RAID 1 for data mirroring. JBOD and individual drive modes are also available.

The adapter measures 100.5 mm in depth and 69.9 mm in width. It is compatible with Windows 10 and various Linux distributions. Built-in SMART support allows for the monitoring of drive attributes and operational health. Installation does not require specific software, as the hardware manages drive translation internally.
