The TP-Link TL-MR6400 V4 is a 4G LTE N300 Wi-Fi router designed for internet access via cellular or wired connections. It includes a built-in SIM card slot supporting 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, and UMTS protocols. The router operates on the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band, reaching wireless data transfer rates of up to 300 Mbit/s using the Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) standard. It supports 4G LTE connectivity across the 800, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz frequency bands and provides wireless access for multiple local devices.

Connectivity includes four Fast Ethernet RJ-45 ports, with one interface configurable as a WAN port for connection to an external modem. The device uses four antennas—a mix of internal and external—for signal reception and transmission. The detachable external antennas can be repositioned to optimise signal strength. Security is managed via an integrated firewall and WPA2-PSK encryption. Management tools include guest access, parental controls, and VPN support for PPTP, L2TP, and IPSec. LED indicators display the status of power, internet connectivity, and cellular signal strength.
