The TP-Link Archer MR400 v3 is a 4G LTE router designed to provide internet connectivity via cellular networks. A built-in MicroSIM slot allows the unit to access 4G LTE signals, making it suitable for environments where wired broadband is unavailable. The device adheres to the Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) standard and provides a maximum wireless data transfer rate of 867 Mbit/s. It operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to support multiple wireless devices simultaneously and is compatible with 4G LTE bands including 800, 900, 1800, 2100, and 2600 MHz.

Wired connectivity is provided by three Fast Ethernet LAN ports and one Ethernet WAN port for secondary connection types. Two detachable external antennas work alongside internal aerials to manage signal reception and allow for flexible positioning. Security features include a firewall with SPI and DoS protection to monitor and filter incoming traffic. The router supports encrypted remote access via 10 VPN tunnels, with server capabilities for PPTP, IPSec, and OpenVPN. The base features mounting holes for wall installation, and the black finish is designed for desktop settings.
