The Lindy Passive 3.5mm Analogue Audio Extender acts as a 3.5 mm to RJ-45 converter for long-distance signal routing. It connects a male 3.5 mm jack to a female RJ-45 port, allowing stereo audio signals to travel over existing network infrastructure. This overcomes the distance limitations of standard auxiliary cables. The units support audio transmission over distances of up to 100 metres, making them suitable for connecting media players to remote powered speakers.

As this is a passive system, it requires no software drivers or network configuration. Simply run network cabling between the two points to complete the connection.
