MikroTik RBPOE - Passive Power over Ethernet injector

The MikroTik RBPOE is a passive PoE injector used to transmit power over standard Ethernet cabling to compatible devices. It removes the need for separate power lines in hard-to-reach locations. The unit delivers a constant voltage and combines data signals with DC power into a single connection, simplifying the deployment of networking hardware by using existing Ethernet cables for power.

This injector is designed for hardware that supports passive power delivery. Many RouterBOARD models use this method to facilitate installation in outdoor or ceiling-mounted environments. The unit takes a DC power feed and transfers it directly onto the Ethernet pairs. Unlike standard IEEE 802.3af/at systems, it does not use automated negotiation, meaning device power requirements must be verified manually.
