The Kingston KC600 utilizes an SMI SM2259 controller combined with 3D TLC NAND technology to manage internal data operations. This hardware architecture is designed to handle data throughput during system boot sequences and the execution of software applications by utilizing high-density flash memory. The internal components are housed in a casing designed for compatibility with standard internal drive mounting systems found in PCs and laptops.
Installation requires a drive bay with 7mm of vertical clearance to accommodate the slim profile. The hardware supports S.M.A.R.T. monitoring and TRIM commands to assist with long-term maintenance of the flash storage cells. It also features integrated Error Correction Code technology and end-to-end protection to verify the integrity of data as it moves between the host system and the storage media.
