It operates using Wi-Fi 5 (IEEE 802.11ac/n) standards, distributing traffic across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for a combined maximum data transfer rate of 1167 Mbit/s. The 5 GHz band reaches speeds up to 867 Mbit/s, while the 2.4 GHz band provides up to 300 Mbit/s. The nodes utilize intelligent mesh technology to form a single network with unified authentication credentials, facilitating seamless device roaming.
Each unit features two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports which can serve as either WAN or LAN connections, supporting essential wired connectivity. The internal hardware supports MU-MIMO functionality, improving efficiency when handling data streams from numerous client devices concurrently. Network security is supported by WPA2-Personal encryption and an internal SPI firewall. Configuration and access to features such as Quality of Service (QoS) and parental controls are managed exclusively through the dedicated Deco mobile application.
