The Ubiquiti LTU-Rocket is a 5 GHz point-to-multipoint (PtMP) base station designed for fixed outdoor networks. It acts as a central hub for multiple client connections, using a proprietary LTU platform instead of standard Wi-Fi protocols. The hardware provides high-throughput links for service providers operating in rural or suburban environments, using the 5 GHz frequency band for backhaul or access.

The device features a single Gigabit Ethernet port that supports WAN or LAN configurations and uses passive Power over Ethernet (PoE) to simplify outdoor cabling. Operators can manage the unit and perform firmware upgrades via a web-based interface. For security, the system uses WPA2-PSK with AES encryption to protect wireless traffic. The pole-mounted design and a manual reset button are intended to assist with integration and maintenance.
