The Cisco Meraki MR46 is an indoor Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point designed for high-density environments. It operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, delivering a maximum combined throughput of 2980 Mbit/s: 2402 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band. The 4x4:4 MU-MIMO architecture handles multiple simultaneous client connections, while beamforming and 1024-QAM modulation improve signal focus and data density.

Wired connectivity uses a 2.5G BASE-T Ethernet port to support high-speed data transfer to the network backbone. Security includes WPA3-Enterprise and IPsec VPN support. You manage the device through a web-based interface for centralized control. The hardware is powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE) or a 12V DC source and can be mounted on ceilings or walls. It also supports tagged VLANs and includes an integrated firewall for traffic management.
