The HUAWEI AR550C-2C6GE Industrial IoT gateway is designed for rugged infrastructure, such as transport and manufacturing sites. It uses wired interfaces exclusively, avoiding wireless connections to ensure stable data flow in congested environments. Integrated Ethernet WAN ports link local machine networks to enterprise systems, while multiple LAN ports connect edge devices and consolidate local traffic. The hardware supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing compatible devices like surveillance cameras to be powered directly through the network cable.

Built for environments where standard networking hardware often fails, this router combines modern packet switching with support for legacy systems. Dedicated digital I/O and RS485 connections ensure compatibility with older industrial controllers. The chassis is designed for use outside of climate-controlled data centres, and components are rated for consistent performance during continuous, 24/7 operation.
