It serves as a central hub for file sharing and collaboration via SMB/CIFS, FTP, and iSCSI protocols. The system is powered by an Annapurna Labs Alpine AL-324 quad-core 1.7 GHz processor and 4 GB of DDR4 memory. The memory can be expanded to 16 GB via a single SO-DIMM slot to accommodate heavier workloads. The unit features nine bays that accept both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA drives. The hot-swappable bays allow for drive maintenance without system downtime.

The device runs on the QNAP Turbo System 5.0.0, which is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux.
