QNAP TS-832PXU-4G - 8-bay 2U Rackmount NAS, Aluminium, Black

The QNAP TS-832PXU-4G is an 8-bay 2U rackmount NAS designed for small and medium-sized businesses. It provides centralized storage for up to eight 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA drives. As no storage drives are pre-installed, users can configure the capacity using their preferred hard drives or solid-state media. The system runs on an Annapurna Labs AL324 quad-core 1.7 GHz processor with 4 GB of DDR4 memory, which can be expanded up to 16 GB. Network connectivity is provided by two 10GbE SFP+ fiber ports and two 2.5GbE RJ45 Ethernet ports, supporting data rates up to 10,000 Mbit/s, link aggregation, and Jumbo Frames. The system runs on the QNAP Turbo System (QTS) and uses 512 MB of onboard flash memory.

Data protection is handled via various RAID configurations, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60, as well as JBOD. Hot-swappable drive bays allow for disk maintenance without downtime, and the unit supports online RAID expansion and migration. The black aluminium chassis houses two 70 mm cooling fans, maintaining an operational noise level of 24.9 dB. Four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports are available for external storage or peripherals. Integrated backup tools include Hybrid Backup Sync, snapshots, and Boxafe for cloud-based productivity suites. The system is compatible with various operating systems, including Windows Server 2019, macOS, and several Linux distributions.
