The CORSAIR 5000D is a mid-tower ATX case constructed from steel, plastic, and a tempered glass side panel. Its design is focused on providing substantial airflow potential while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic suitable for showcasing high-performance components. The chassis is engineered to simplify the building process with features like integrated cable management and a spacious interior layout. Dust filters are included to help maintain internal cleanliness.

This case offers extensive cooling flexibility, with mounts for up to ten 120mm fans. It also accommodates multiple radiators, including 360mm models on the front, top, and side panels simultaneously. The interior provides generous component clearance, with space for CPU coolers up to 170 mm in height and power supplies up to 225 mm long. Two pre-installed 120mm AirGuide fans are included to establish an initial airflow path through the chassis.

Storage options consist of four dedicated 2.5-inch SSD mounts and a cage for two 3.5-inch HDDs. The chassis includes a total of nine expansion slots, with seven in the standard horizontal orientation and two vertically oriented for alternative graphics card mounting. The front I/O panel is equipped with two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, and a single combination audio/microphone jack for peripheral connectivity.
