The Corsair iCUE 5000X RGB is a mid-tower ATX chassis designed for component visibility, featuring four tool-free tempered glass panels on its front, top, and sides. Its internal structure supports a broad range of motherboards, from Mini-ITX up to E-ATX (305mm x 277mm), making it suitable for various build scales. The front panel provides modern connectivity with a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports.

Thermal management is addressed through extensive cooling support, with mounts for up to ten 120mm fans or multiple 360mm radiators located on the front, top, and side. Three 120mm RGB fans are pre-installed in the front for immediate intake airflow, managed by an included iCUE lighting controller. For storage, the case provides two 3.5-inch drive bays and four dedicated 2.5-inch mounts. System expandability is handled by a total of nine expansion slots, which provides flexibility for component layout.
