The QNAP QSW-M2116P-2T2S Managed L2 PoE switch (16x 2.5GbE, 2x 10GbE SFP+) is an access-layer device for data and power distribution. This Layer 2 model features 16 RJ-45 ports at 2.5G speeds and a total switching capacity of 160 Gbit/s. Two 10G SFP+ slots are provided for fiber uplinks to core network hardware or storage, helping to manage congestion during peak loads.

The rack-mountable unit delivers a 280 W PoE budget across 16 RJ-45 PoE+ ports for devices such as wireless access points and IP cameras. The switch uses a web-based management interface, allowing for configuration without a dedicated command-line workstation. Two internal fans provide active cooling for system loads up to 350 W, and traffic can be managed via VLAN segmentation and Quality of Service (QoS) protocols.
