The ASUS 4G-AX56 is a dual-band LTE modem router designed to provide internet access via cellular networks. It features a built-in Nano SIM slot supporting FDD-LTE, TDD-LTE, and 3G UMTS connectivity. Using Wi-Fi 6 technology, the router reaches wireless speeds of up to 1800 Mbit/s. It operates on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, with the latter providing up to 1201 Mbit/s. This configuration makes it suitable as a primary internet gateway where fixed-line infrastructure is unavailable or as a backup connection for small offices.

The router has five Gigabit Ethernet ports and supports Ethernet WAN for dual-link flexibility. Four integrated internal and external antennas maintain signal stability. Network security includes a built-in firewall and AiProtection Classic, which blocks malicious sites. Users can configure guest access and parental controls via the web-based management interface. The device also supports several VPN protocols, including OpenVPN and PPTP, for secure remote access. LED indicators on the housing provide real-time status for power, LAN activity, and WAN connectivity.
