The TP-Link TL-WPA7517 KIT AV1000 Gigabit Powerline ac Wi‑Fi Kit transmits data over existing household electrical wiring to extend internet access to remote rooms. This pair of adapters uses the HomePlug AV2 standard to reach data transfer rates of up to 1000 Mbit/s across the power lines. Unlike basic powerline units, this kit offers dual-band Wi-Fi 5, delivering speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band and 433 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band. Each unit includes a Gigabit Ethernet port for stable, wired connections to devices such as smart TVs or gaming consoles. This model lacks a pass-through power socket, so the adapter occupies the wall outlet it uses. The system works over distances of up to 300 metres along the electrical circuit.

Installation is plug-and-play and requires no software or complex configuration. An encryption button synchronises the adapters and secures the network with 128-bit AES encryption.
