The TP-Link AV1000 Gigabit Passthrough Powerline AC Wi-Fi Kit (TL-WPA7617 KIT) extends network coverage using existing electrical wiring, avoiding the need for additional cabling. The kit uses the HomePlug AV2 standard, supporting transfer rates of up to 1000 Mbit/s over distances of up to 300 metres. Wireless connectivity is provided by dual-band Wi-Fi 5, with speeds of 300 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band and 867 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band. A Gigabit Ethernet port on the adapter allows for high-speed wired access for devices such as gaming consoles or smart TVs. The pack includes two units to connect your router to the network.

Installation is a plug-and-play process that requires no software or manual configuration. A physical encryption button activates 128-bit AES security to protect data transmitted over the electrical wiring. Wireless network security is managed through WEP, WPA-PSK, and WPA2-PSK protocols. An integrated passthrough AC socket allows the wall outlet to remain available for other appliances. Each unit measures 69.5 mm x 35 mm x 124.1 mm and includes LED indicators for power and link status.
