The CHERRY MX BOARD 3.0S is a full-size gaming keyboard built with an extruded aluminum frame that provides a stable and rigid platform without the use of screws. It is equipped with German-engineered CHERRY MX Red mechanical switches, which deliver a linear keystroke with a 2 mm actuation point and a total travel of 4 mm. For performance-focused use, the keyboard incorporates full n-key rollover and anti-ghosting to ensure all simultaneous inputs are registered accurately. A WIN key lock function is included to prevent accidental desktop interruptions during gameplay.

This model features customizable per-key RGB backlighting with a spectrum of over 16 million colors, configurable through the CHERRY Utility software. The keyboard connects via a detachable 1.7-meter Micro-USB to USB-A cable, facilitating easier transport and replacement. It is designed with a standard 104-key ANSI layout and includes adjustable feet to alter the typing angle. The unit is compatible with Windows operating systems from version 7 through 11.
