The MikroTik CCR2004-16G-2S+ is a rack-mountable router housed in a metal chassis. It features 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired connections and two 10G SFP+ slots for high-speed fiber links. The unit does not support cellular connectivity, as it lacks a SIM card slot. A 4-core Annapurna Labs processor running at 1700 MHz manages data throughput, supported by 4 GB of DDR4 RAM for carrier-grade routing. Its 1U form factor and integrated AC power supply allow for standard installation in professional server cabinets.

This router includes a built-in firewall and supports IPsec VPN for secure remote networking. A single USB port is provided for storage or peripherals. Network administrators can manage the system and perform firmware updates via the web interface. The device supports both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, alongside Quality of Service (QoS) controls to prioritise specific traffic.
